Students and families can complete 听the remaining housing payments via wire transfer or via credit card payments as outlined in our .听 Payments made by credit card will be subject to a credit card fee which听may be levied through the third-party payment portal.

Using Loans for Housing Payments

Students who intend to pay for the bulk of their housing costs with student loans will still have to complete the first payment out of pocket by the first deadline, as it is a non-refundable payment securing the reservation before loans are disbursed. They can, however, have a deferred timeline for the remaining payments, as those can be covered when loans are disbursed at the start of the semester.

The Office of Financial Aid will need to certify students鈥 loan applications for them to receive a deferral of remaining housing payments. Please direct any questions about the loan process to your Admissions Counselor.听Please note that any student who has not completed their payments on time may lose their听reservation and听may be assigned to one of their other choices depending on availability.

Semester Billing

Students who enroll in AUP housing and are planning to attend AUP for the full academic year are securing housing with the university for the full year: for both the Fall and the Spring semesters.

Our billing cycles, however, operate on a semester basis. The charges listed are the Fall housing charges for each accommodation. Should you be continuing at AUP for Spring, you will receive billing information in November about the payment deadlines and procedures for the subsequent semester.听Students using loans for their housing payments will also need to complete the first payment out of pocket for the Spring 2026 semester.

Housing Payment Policies FAQ

Will the housing first payment be refunded if I cannot obtain a VISA to study in Paris?

The first housing payment (30% of your semester rent) is non-refundable. The rent portion of your second housing payment (70% of your semester rent) is refundable (see refund policy), and the security deposit is 100% refundable.

Can I use student loans to cover housing fees? If I am using student loans to cover all of my housing fees, what do I need to pay in advance?

Students using loans to pay for tuition and all housing fees must still pay the non-refundable first payment (30% of semester rent). You can use your loans to cover remaining housing payments, but in order to do this we must have confirmation from the Office of Financial Aid at AUP that your loans are complete and will cover tuition and living expenses. Contact your Admissions Counselor for help.

Will the housing deposit be refunded if I defer admissions to the subsequent semester?

The first housing payment (30% of your semester payment) is non-refundable; therefore, students who defer their admissions forfeit their housing payment. If students defer their admissions to a semester within the same academic year (in this case, to Spring 2026), their forfeited first payment can be applied to their Spring 2026 housing reservation. Housing payments for the 2025-2026 cannot be applied to the听2026-2027 academic year and are fully forfeited.
